Our Mission and Vision
At Ravenbear Energy, our mission is to seek undervalued, high-return opportunities in the oil and gas sector. We have utilized acquisitions, operational control and farm-in opportunities to execute our strategy. Our current focus is in Louisiana where there is an industry friendly operating environment with a tremendous amount of oil and gas infrastructure.
With the exit of major and large independent companies, a wide range of excellent drilling opportunities with 3D seismic data have become available to us. Furthermore, the characteristics of the high quality reservoirs in Louisiana allow for enhanced production, facilitating an accelerated return of invested capital and profits.
Company History
Foundation and Early Years
Ravenbear Energy Inc. was established in 2014 with a mission to initially focus on tapping into bypassed or undeveloped unexplored reserves, leveraging low cost technology and operational synergies.
Since 2014, Ravenbear has capitalized on acquisitions and operating partnerships and farm-in opportunities to expand its operational footprint. By the end of the decade, the company had established working interests in two Wyoming oil and gas producing fields, setting the stage for future growth on a project-by-project basis.
In 2016, we acquired a 100% working interest in a Wyoming field through an all stock acquisition. In 2018, we acquired a majority working interest in another Wyoming field by acting as contract operator.
In 2020, due to high gas and oil price volatility in the US Rocky Mountain region and an increasingly onerous Federal acreage regulatory environment, we began to evaluate opportunities outside of Wyoming. We evaluated numerous opportunities in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado and Louisiana.
In 2022 we began to focus on Louisiana with an emphasis on drilling infill wells in existing south Louisiana oil fields. We participated (100% working interest) in one successful well in Jefferson Davis Parish and are now pursuing a second prospect in Cameron Parish.
Investment partners have the ultimate control over their own working interest. They decide what to do with their own proceeds, what future projects they want to participate in, and when they want to sell off their working interest. They are not locked into a one size fits all corporation making the same decisions for everyone.
